The factory tires are Michelin Pilot MXM4s. I think they read 235/45 R17....

Depends on what transmission you have. Bridgestone Turanza on 6 Speed's and Michelin on automatics'. all are 235/45-17 size wise...If you are replacing tires I recommend the Pirelli P Zero Nero M/S. Great performace, better wear and less expensive than Pilot A/S for Michelin... I use them on my 2005 TL 6MT.

Really bad ones. The ones on mine even had a design defect, the dealership fixed them for free. If you are worried about them, tell your dealership and they should offer to replace them.
