it says ''code." how do i get this code other than calling a dealership?

You can't just find it on your car. call acura and they can find your code by using your vin. Only takes them 5 minutes to look it up, no big deal.

you might research on the net, or if you have your old books from the purchase. Basically it is the theft deterent system. example if your stereo was stolen out of the car then someone attempted to install it in another vehicle it would do the same thing, play dead, until the correct code activated. The loss of power kicked it on.. Dig around on the net but you may have to call the dealer ship

u should call acura and let them put on in or something thats ur best bet

Look all through the car. The Honda dealer i work at hides them under the cap for the fuse box it is a 5 digit number. On the back of the radio is a serial number if you can get that number a dealer will get you your code for free. Acura will not give out the number on one that old you will need the serial number off the radio

There are 3 ways to get the code for the radio. First is to look inside the owner’s manual for the car. It would be printed in the book in the radio section or in the back. Second, if you don’t have the book you can call an Acura dealer and give them the VIN and they may give you the code. If they don’t then you may have to have an Acura dealer or Do-It-Yourself for the third way. Third, the code is usually printed on the back of the radio it self. You would have to physically take out the radio and copy it down.

The easiest and best way is to look in your glove compartment and check the inside of the owners manual. There should be a card or written somewhere, a 5 digit code that should be entered in to allow the radio to function.

You can't just get this code from your car. It is simple enough if you just call up Acura and tell them what is wrong they should be able to give you the code over the phone. This was a big problem for the 96-98 Acuras.

DUDE I HAD 94 ACURA LEGEND I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY BUT TO GO TO AN ACURA DEALER. WISH I HAD A BETTER ANSWER BUT I DONT . THAT WHAT I HAD TO DO .
