Acura (Honda) has yet to release information about their upcoming redesigned (Gen 4) TL. Any pic you find is either a misprint, or represents an unsubstantiated guess. Honda plays the cards close to their chest when it comes to introducing new models.Speculations run that a new TL would include AWD (or perhaps RWD) along with more power. IMO, these seem like fair guesses insofar as Honda wants to keep up with the trend among luxury sedans towards better handling and quicker machines. In the balance however is Honda's commitment to offer superb value for the dollar along with consistency to their corporate values of reliability, fuel efficiency, affordability, etc. Since the TL is Acura's bread & butter model, don't count on any change so radical that it risks their market share in the entry level luxury sport sedan. No matter, I would expect the new '08 TL to include a bevy of technological improvements, including the deployment of Honda's new advanced VTEC...delivering greater power & fuel economy from their family of SOHC V6 engines. So it's also a fair guess that the new TL would be powered by an enhanced version of their 3.5L SOHC (J35) motor currently powering the '07 TL Type S.I own an '06 TL and recently completed an Internet survey from Honda aimed at getting TL owners to describe what features they'd want in the next generation TL. From the range of questions, it is hard to tell which way Honda is leaning other than they need to relaunch this model to the 'front of the class'. Periodically check the website:
