Default WHICH USED CAR TO BUY, ACURA INTEGRA,HONDA PRELUDE or LEXUS IS SERIES?

Could y'all please post your suggestions, including pros and cons, for each car, and which car would you buy?I read the consumer report for Lexus IS 300 the other day, and it was rated 4 of 10. Does that mean its not really a very good car compared with the other two?

Consumer Reports rates Honda and Acura cars highest in all catagories...for the past 20 yrs...Lexus has had quality control and recall problems...(besides which in CR reports, it's really the consumer rating the cars and talking about repairs...I know I get CR and do ratings every yr...)

i have an integra and its a pretty sweet car to have. it last very time the engine can take abuse and still run fine. i have over 225k+ miles and no problems with it at all. there really is no cons to this. the predule i have no experince with put its a honda so it will last a long time. i really dont care for lexus sorry its not my style i only drive honda made carsany honda will last forever give or take if the last owner took car of the carid go with the integra. even if i never had any experience with it. theres a whole site dedicated to the car, team-integra.net all the members love there car check it out and see what other people think of the car, good site if you ever have a problem with the integra jus about evertything there is to kno abiut the car is on there my 2nd choice would be the prelude you can check out honda-tech.com for that cargood luck!

I'd rather drive a 1950 Buick Roadmaster.

Understand, if you are made of money the IS is a great car, but remember that Toyota parts are not interchangable and as with BMW and Mercedes, Lexus parts are extremely expensive! Labor is another expensive feature of a Lexus. The philosophy is that if you have the money to buy one, you have the money to maintain one. The Prelude was an awsome car. It was actually more expensive than the Accord Coupe but finding one that has not been raced will be a challenge. The Integra is a civic with a little more bells and whistles. The Integra does have more power than a civic and some models are more comparable to a Prelude. Preludes hold value very well! I am a manager at a dealer and we sold a Prelude with a bad engine at auction for 3500 dollars! All in all I guess it comes down to which one you like vs which one you can find the cleanest car in the best shape in your price range. Personnally I would get a 96 Accord V6 EX coupe and take the rest of the money to customize it! For the price difference of a accord coupe and An IS you could have a 350hp car that is in incredible condition!

Buy an integra gsr, they are fast, great looking, and last forever (as long as you change the oil and timimg belt) 2nd choice would be a honda prelude 97-01 they are vtec as well and you can run 87 octane in them with no knocking. These also last a long time and are strong runners.Dont buy a lexus they are nice looking and everything, but they cost alot to buy in the first place and when they do break they are very expensive to fix.

All three are quality cars and would be excellent choices. It all depends on what you want; coupe or sedan? luxury or performance?, etc. IMO I would go with the IS because you cant go wrong with a Lexus but the Prelude will save you money on the insurance.
