Default Anyone else with an Integra have oxidation problems?

Or have any of you heard of this being a common problem with the paint on Acuras or Hondas? Mine is a 2000 GSR.I live in Phoenix, so it's pretty ridiculous that the paint is doing that. If it's only the clear coat does that mean it can be fixed or does it need a new paint job?I have been completely meticulous about keeping my car clean. This is NOT due to not washing/waxing it. The car was only 3 years old when the paint became this way...almost overnight.

I had a 96 for a while and it never had problems. Do you live in an area that gets snow or salty air from the sea? Do you park it under a tree that has sappy leaves? Try to find out if anything is prematurely effecting your paint.

I own a shop, and work on vehicles all the time. My son has an Integra, and the paint is just peeling right off the trunk, and the top of the car. It seems to be the top (clear) coat that is the problem, and not so much the color itself. If I remember correctly, his is a GSR also. For a car to cost as much as they do, I'm surprised at how cheap the paint job on them is. There ought to be a recall on them, and they should be made to fix this problem.Glad to help out, Good luck!!!

Go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov to find Consumer Complaints, Defect Investigations, Recalls, and Technical Service Bulletins for your GSR. There may be a fix for your paint problem.
