I assume by swap you mean motor swap, easy B18C1 aka a GS-R motor. You can pick them up used with 30-40K miles on them for around $3,000. Dont put a B-16 in your car because everyone and their mom will laugh at you as it cant make the same power the bigger motors do. Dont put an H22 in as there is little aftermarket support for it. The B18C series and K series make the real juice. If you can afford it go for one of those (K series has the most potential). If you are on a budget the take your LS motor and make it a power happy LS/VTEC. good luck

Well you have a lot of optionsLSGSRK20B16Type RK22etcbut if you really want to go fast i love the trpe r motor but there really expensive. But you can also get a single cam v-tech there fast also. I mean i have a single cam v-tech with nos and it is very fast. If you want something cheaper i suggest a LS not as fast as a Type R or K20 but its fast.

You can go the expensive route and do the K24 conversion which will change the engine bay drastically or you can go the old school way and drop a B20 block with a VTEC head and/or turbo and nitrous. Imagine a grocery getter with a tree stump pulling engine that can run 9,000 RPM and still get decent mileage. Then again the K blocks do all of what the B's couldn't handle. High Air to Fuel ratio, better block rigidity, and astronomical power to wieght ratios.

if you gonna do it yourself and don;t kno much motors don't do the B20 not as easy as it sounds and with the K20 thats a grip of money to install the single cam engines are crap they are not fast in tegs just go with the ls/vtec
