it all varies.a supercharger gives you boost of the line and you have to use 93 octane gas whereas a turbo charger gives you boost in the middle and you can use regular gas so the question is where do you want the boost and how much are you willing to spend on gas!!! the amount of boost (psi) will tell you how much hp you will gain and turbo's tend to run cheaper than superchargers.

What can you find? A super charger is instant power, with little strain on engine. Turbo lags a little and uses exhuast heat to boost. This heat makes the car run hotter than usual and cooling critical when racing. Both are good at creating power, but look at pro drag and funny cars, they are all super charged (blown), in those races by the time the turbo creates any boost the race is OVER. I am asuming if you race your car on the street your race will be over fairly quick with the super charger, plus it is way easier to run a blower. You can almost bolt one on if someone has made a kit. Try Paxton, B and M, or Vortec for kits. Good Luck. Plus a blown Acura would be just cool. Kinda new skool with a mix of a little old skool.

A turbo is "free power", meaning that it requires no engine power to create power. A turbo is exhaust driven. Everything that you get from a turbo is added to the engine. A supercharger "borrows" power from the engine to create power. It is pulley driven from the crank. Here is a site that list turbo kits for the RSX S http://www.turbo-kits.com/rsx_turbo_kits.htmlThe kits range from 50 and to 100 hp gains over the stock engine power with a direct bolt on.Here is a site that list superchargers for the RSX Shttp://www.modacar.com/products/Acur...bokits.htmlThe superchargers claim any where from 40 -50 more hp off the start on the wheels to about 40% overall gain.In my opinion, If I wanted top end speed I would go with a turbo. If you want over all power from the push of the gas pedal I would go with a supercharger.

Just remember that what you are about to do will invalidate your warranty, and also your insurance. If you don't disclose that you have turbo charged your vehicle, your insurance may simply refuse to pay out in the event of an accident. If you take your car in for warranty work, they may use it as an excuse not to honor the warranty. Also, once you modify the car you are going to lose several thousand dollars in depreciation. People don't want to buy a vehicle that someone has messed with in this way. They don't want to deal with the warranty and insurance issues. They will also make the assumption that the previous owner was a boy racer who thrashed his car all the time. Few people want a vehicle like that.My advice would be to save up for a TL Type S, or some other car, rather than modifying your RSX.
