Replace the catalitic converter. Yes you have a JDM motor, but unless you have a JDM computer and a JDM intake manifold to go along, it is the same as a US version.

NOx emissions are created when the combustion temps are too high. EGR not working or cat not cleaning, or timing to advancedUnless you have reprogrammed the spark curve, I doubt it's the timing.Check to see if the EGR is working, if it is then it's probably the catylitic converter
