well, I recently bought a used 1999 Acura Integra. I live in the san Diego, CA area. the car has an alarm which can only be deactivated by disconnecting the car battery or using the remote on the key. so does anyone know if this model has an engine immobilizer?

wow buddy they dont have engine immoblizer i hate to tell you but it sounds like who ever installed that alarm deffinitly crossed a wire or installed it wrong

I am under the imression that it does. Best way to check. Does the key have a chip inside it? The key will be an acura logo, instead of the acura text. konrad
