Hello,I am purchasing a 2002 Acura RSX and I noticed that the car's steering is a little more difficult than my present car: a 1996 Honda Accord. Does this mean something is wrong or have other people noticed this too. Its not like its SO hard, it is just more difficult than my Accord

There's nothing wrong. While they both have speed proportional power steering systems, the RSX is designed to be sporty and the accord is very middle of the road. If you're looking at the manual transmission, you'll also find that the RSX clutch is a little stiffer than an accord's. The tighter steering and heavier clutch are designed to give the car a sportier feel. I have an accord sedan and a nissan 350Z...likewise, I'm always shocked at the stiffness of the steering in the Z after driving the accord back and forth to work all week.

Owning a rsx and having driven alot of cars, you will notice they are all differant. The rsx powersteering is a but heavy and the wheel is going to be heavier then some cars. Also if your car is lowered, its going to be worse, due to the modification of the stock suspension geomentry.

I race Fords and Mercury's but I have friends that own Acuras and yes, you are very correct. All Acuras have stiffer steering. I test drove some of the Acura sedans, and my father owns a MDX. All the Acuras I have drove give you more of a workout under almost all driving conditions. I will say this they handle very well for FWD cars. If the steering bothers you, you should look into a RWD car. You will notice a great difference in the steering, and much better performance.
