Default Suspension Upgrades for Acura RSX..2006?

I want to add some upgrades to my suspension. I think i can just add better sway bars to make my car handle better and reduce roll. Is this true? Can i get around changing my suspension?

Sticky tires will get you the most g's for the buck. Lowering springs and sway bays may make it feel more fun to drive. I get a feeling you'll have all three at some point :-)

I HAD A RSX TYPE S. I PUT RACING HART S15 WITH YOKAHAMA PRADAS 225/40/18 WITH EIBACHS SPORT SPRINGS. IT NEEDED TO HAVE NEW STRUTS AND SWAY BARS. DO THE WHOLE PACKAGE. I DID'NT DO THE SWAYS OR STRUTS -- BIG MISTAKE --THE CAR HAD HIGH -SPEED STABILITY PROBLEM. THE STOCK SUSPENSION IS DESIGNED FOR EVERYTHING THAT IS STOCK. IF YOU CHANGE ONE THING YOU PRETTY MUCH NEED TO CHANGE EVERYTHING TO MATCH

I would highly suggest Suspension techniques Sway bars to a stock vehicle. The RSX is already a good platform, but this will make it hang better. Be sure to get used to the way it handles after installation before you push it all out! But if you do in the future want to drop it in the future then I would go with the strut and spring combo. You are on the right track! Wait until you burn up the factory tires to get new ones. Or if you are tracking the car buy road wheels with all weather tires and then Dedicated dry traction tires for racing. Good luck and enjoy the RSX, KC

There is no body roll to the RSX....( I own an RSX-S) chuck the Michelin's and get some Bridgestone Pole Pos 3's...sticky tires make for better cornering. The body is rigid enough and anti-sway bars are not going to do a thing for that car...(having driven an RSX-S for the past 5 yrs...I know..)

The RSX dose have some body roll, some if it is caused by the 16" tires if youhave a base '05-'06. Its not serious enough for it to be dangerous, thats why they created understeer. Good start for suspension upgrades is lowering springs or coilover(i do not recommend sleeved coilovers). The lowering of your car will lower the center of gravity giving far less body roll. When you do that you create bump steer, not noticable at slow speeds, but at high way speeds, you will notice it takes more effort to change lanes or exit/enter on to on/off ramps. It happens because you are modifying the suspension geometry that honda has spend millions to get right.(sway bars are used to control the lateral movement of the struts, when they are under load then tend to make a trapazoid like shape and enduce understeer/oversteer, stiffer the less flex, softer the more flex.)After that Sway are a good choice, dont go something too think, which might be more use fun to lesson understeer, but might create oversteer, is paired wrong. (understeer is going to be easier to control the oversteer)
