Check out the New Car Test Drive review. Maybe they have something there.

Go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov to find Consumer Complaints, Defect Investigations, Recalls, and Technical Service Bulletins for an MDX

Transmission problem was taken care of in 2003. I used to work a service advisor at an Acura dealer and we saw no 04's with tranny problems when i was there. The 2004 model and up are VERY reliable vehicles.

Consumer Reports gave the 04 MDX an excellent over all rating. One of it's "Good Bets". The only category where it rated low was audio system. Upgrading the stereo and speakers should be easy.
