I'm looking for a 2005 or 2006 Acura with navigation and maybe DVD. I'm looking at a MDX, TL or TSX.

no part. its not going to be in the vin. They way its broken down shows where its made make model version engine chassis.

I don't believe this is going to be easily decoded by looking at the VIN.But seriously, if you are looking at an ad, they are ALWAYS going to tell you if it has navigation, because it is a selling point.If you are actually shopping, a quick peek inside the window will also answer that question.As for your choice of cars, the MDX looks a little dated now thanks to the '07 coming out. The TSX is a little slow. The TL is a good all-rounder. I've had my TL '05 model for 18 months and it's great. I bought it just around the time the '06 was coming out and got a nice deal. I never got navigation, wish I had (even though I would rarely use it). I'll get it in my next vehicle.

only thing the VIN# shows its where it's made and it's actual number...starts with a J, made in Japan...
