Use the b16 head it has a better air flow design and will make more power. You just have to shop around for the head check salvage yards/part suppliers. Prices vary and change all the time. The v-tec controller lets you select the rpm that you wish for v-tec to engage the better ones also automatically adjust fuel management to provide the best performance (you want the fuel management).Do research on the swap if you are doing it yourself. An extra oil line has to be added externally to provide oil from the block to the head because the ls block does not have the internal oil feed for the v-tec head.

Zed is right. VTEC heads are not exactly cheap. You can buy a complete LS motor for the price of a B16 head. So make sure that before you buy it that it is pressure tested for cracks and just generally checked over by somebody who knows about aluminum heads.
