Default I have an 05 Acura RSX Base Auto is it worth getting a performance chip from ebay.?

IS it true that you get an HP raise about 25+ hp and 30 Torque how is that possible, will it hurt my car, is it easy to install ? Will i feel the difference, is it a CHIP or something we do with the wires. Thanks

i own a shop, and it is true it can raise the horse power that much,,and it wont hurt any wires at all on it,it cant do any harm,,to your car,,you,ll notice some running changes in it though,,such as faster acceleration,,,but you can get these at any performance shop,,without going through e-bay,,and get it a lot faster also,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

Some ebay "chips" are really 25 cent variable resistors. The directions call for them to be placed in series with your air sensor. They look like a device because of a dial. Power is not gotten for free it will cause you to use more fuel. A real chip is either directly plugged into the cars ecu or into the ecu status/communication socket. Check on honda forums.

No, trade it in for a Type-s or buy an intake for it.

Ok heres the thing, those eba chips dont work. None of them do.Now with the 05-06 ecu its a but complicated, on w type-s you need to use a 02-04 ecu with a adapter to even get it to work. but with the base auto there is nothing you can do to get hondata to work at the moment. hondata dose not know how they can get it to work. there is no option to rechip or reprogram/reflash the ecu. not even a piggy back would or even a stand alone, because it would either mess with tranny signals, or get rid of tranny control completely. there is jsut no option for a porformance ecu mod.Get a cold air intake, race header, and exhaust.
