If you intend driving around the backyard then why not just do it.If this is a car that will be driven on public roads, you need to speak to the traffic authority for your state. Not much point changing anything if you cant drive it.

Yes its possible. My buddie has a 96 civic hatch with a k-series swap in it. Your question regarding if it will be a hp gain or loss is too vague...is the k-series motor a type-s or not? what series motor is it replacing.The k-series is an awesome motor, i like it better then the B series. And I've had 3 heavily modified B series motors and my K series with all the basic bolt ons is just as quick.

Yes it is very possible but you need several more items from the donor car than just the engine. You will need the transmission and possibly the drive hubs with a different bolt pattern on them. You will also need the wiring harness and the ECU. Another good thing to have is a repair manual.

keep this in mind K > B.........r u considerin K24 from CR-V or just K20 ?
