Keep it tuned up!!! old plugs and wires will sap more power and performance from a car then most people can ever imagine. You also have to think hard about fuel economy. Manufactures go for fuel economy and environmental. As you add performance your car will require more air and fuel to produce more horsepower. Most street legal aftermarket performance mods will allow you to meet environmental laws, but usually more horsepower will mean less fuel mileage.

The next cheapest step is to get a good exhaust system, make sure your car is properly serviced before you do put it on. Also as the previous guy, make sure you dont have corroded wires etc... Cleaner means easy to spot when things go wrong,

open the hood. remove the radiator cap. start the car and back it up. pull an integra under radiator cap. replace cap, close hood. start driving. the legends are nice and have a little pep to them but you can not get alot a power for cheap with them. my last one had $15000 under the hood and could barely out run my integra with very little work done to it. car is too heavy and requires alot of work to feel the difference. a 10 or 20 hp increase can not be felt and that is all you can get with inexpensive bolt ons.
