Is it possible to convert a k20a engine to automatic?

with enough money you can do anything to a car you could possibly imagine. With enough money you could put a formula one paddle shifting transmission on an Honda Odessey.

K20A3's come in automatics, you might be able to use those. I doubt that you'll want to though because K20A's were specifically designed for use w/ 6 spd manual tranmissions to unleash their full potential.

yeah, like the other guy said, just get an automatic to begin with. if you don't/can't drive stick, then you don't need to drive fast anyway...

The answer is going to be a no. The problem you run into is the ECU. The k20a3 auto ECU is also the tranmission ECU. and the only way for the k20a to work is with the Type-R or type-S with a Hondata Type-R reflash or K-Pro.Theres no way you can do it.
