dont do that bro...the automatic tranny with tiptronic works great on the base RSX its specially designed for it with the power the base RSX is making. Ive drove both manual and automatic RSX base and the automatic drives better with the tiptronic then the manual 5 speed on the base RSX model. If you want a manual you need to get the RSX Type S, plus then you'll get 6 speeds =) not just 5. And plus the Type S has much more power and a way higher rev limit so you'll be able to enjoy the manual much better. 05 RSX Type S is 210 horsepower thats the way to go, the 06 RSX Type S is back down to 201, get the 05 RSX-S 6 speed manual.

It would be cheaper to trade your car for a manual.the transmission alone will run you 800-1000, you will need the base 5-speed ECU, all the shift linkages, clutch pedal, and some other misc parts, all together thats about 1500+ in parts. then theres the install which would run you around 1000 to do. unless you can do it your self.And for some one who things the tiptronic is comparable to a manual transmision, its in no way camparable. Auto also gets less HP to the wheels due to drivetrain loss. Auto is also less fun to drive. If you had the money to do the trans swap might as well get a k20a2 engine and trans. it will only cost you 3000 total with out install, and you get type-s proformance but you pay the insurance of a base rsx.but since you have a 05 it makes it a bit harder because you have a k20a3 but differant transmission mounts for that tranny so you owuld have to get a k20z1 which are harder to get then a k20a2....clubrsx.com it should be your friend.
