my acura revs up and down when i first start it. it does not do this everyday. then when i put it in drive there is a very big kick. any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

Clogged fuel injectors. I would run a batch of injector cleaner through it and see if it helps. If not, no harm done and you are only out a couple of bucks.

stop pumpin the gas pedal and put on the brake when you shift ...lol

my 1994 integra does it too, but only on very cold starts you should check all your fluid n makes sure evry thing is properly conected

Get your O-2 sensor checked or it could be your timing chain

throttle cable probably sticking, or automatic choke sticking. have it checked out professionaly.

you need to clean and oil the idle contgrol solenoid its very easy to get to and its easy to clean be sure to clean out the opening it goes into

The throttle actuator will create an increase and decrease in the engine.You should have your car diagnosed by a licensed garage.It will save you a lot of headaches and money.

if it does only whemn it is cold "when then engine has not been started for a while" you could have a vacuum leak or even possible that the throttle cable is too tight. also check your coolant level.it might be low.

Your transmission is going bad, try to put in transmission treatment, also check your engine mountings.
