Has anyone had any major mechanical problems with this car or known of any issues. I have a 97' mits. eclipse and have had nothing but problems with it, will this car be dependable?

It's a good buy. Acura's are honda products, their reliability is outstanding.

I have an Acura TSX and I haven't had any problems with it. Make sure that you have an alarm on this car or keep it in a garage. Young people love stealing these cars for their engines. Damn good car.

I have an 03 RSX and in 3 years nothing has gone wrong. Go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov to find Consumer Complaints, Defect Investigations, Recalls, and Technical Service Bulletins for an 02 RSX

going acura will be the smartest move . they have NO problems. you get the normal wear and tear problems that occur. nothing ever major.there wonderfull vehicles

No problems at all with this car.....other than having the ECU stolen 3 months ago. The RSX Type S's ECU is a very hot commodity the tuners right now.

i personally wouldnt buy the 02 version, you could get a civic si for alot cheaper, and it would have the exact sam emotor in it, honda makes acura cars...and the 02 rsx has a k20 in it that makes about 160-165 hp. the mitsu that you have is the third generation for eclipses/talons/lasers etc...and has been known to have lots of problems as soon, if not before it hits 100,000 miles, so the mitsu would have been a bad buy, just bc of the gen it was, the 2nd gen's had better engines, and lasted alot longer in general, but anywho back to the acura, it will last forever, there could be a nuclear war going on in america, and the only thing that would be left is the engine of that car, and twinkies. so is it dependable? yes. is it the best buy if you want to turn it into a drag car, no. however the K20 engines have alot of potential, its just a matter of actually getting that potential out. i would recommend you look into getting a 06 or 07 civic si, its made by the same people, and the new civic has 197hp stock, so not only are you getting almost 40 more hp, but i personally think they look better, it all just depends on what you want to do with the car/how much money you want to spend.

what are you considered about?it's nothing to be afraid of.RSX is the fastest car in the game.it can accelerate 0-60km/h in just 4.9 second.if you modified it,it goes really faster than the boring old junker.

YES! Totally go for it, i was gonna get one but ended up getting a TL. But yes. super fun to drive, good mpg. pretty quick for a 4-Banger! and incomparable reliability. That mitsu couldn't hold a flame to the RSX or RSX Type-S
