How did Honda/Acura number the Type R's? I have a 98 ITR 1196 although in 98 they only made 750.?
Ok so I know that in 97 there were 500 ITRs made, 750 in 98, 0 in 99, somewhere around 1000 in 00, and 1250-1500 in 01. Although mine is 1196... My assumption is that they continued numbering from 97 although I have seen on the internet 01 ITR with the number (example) 396. Anybody know?

Go on honda-tech.com and look search all for the numbered itr's. They have a list there. I think the number would be in the opening of the driver's side door, on a sticker or something. i think there was more than 750 I'm pretty sure.http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/1492748
