I did, let me tell you it was great. Yeah Right. 1999 Acura GSR, 18" wheels, headers, full-exhaust, w/ cams on the way!!! Cops didn't give a rats a*s about that. After, 3 weeks Progressive Car Ins. cut me a check. I'm told b/c I live close to Canada, alot of these types of car are stolen for the engine, 1.8L w/ VTEC? anybody else?

Yeah, I feel you. When I had my Civic I bought that bulletproof lock which wraps around the clutch or brake pedal so the car cannot start or drive off. Great investment for $40

Yep. Stolen from the third row of my local mall. Right before christmas. With all of my presents AND my work tools inside. Police said that this is a common thing. Lost about $7-8k. Not a very good christmas for my family that year ( 2 yrs ago) I can tell you. I did get the car back though there was some damage... Now it has LOJack, a pretty good battery backup dual siren w/ air horns alarm and the Club, for use at places like the mall. Damn thieves. They can get me once, but not again.

Had my girlfriend's Acura RSX-S ecu stolen about a month ago.Problem is that with the Civics, Preludes, Integras, and RSX. The parts are interchangeable so most likely so there are some Civic owners out there stealing the better cars, interchanging those parts into their Civics. The best way to go when you get your car stolen is hoping not to ever get the car back, that way insurance covers you for the full car.....just hopefully reimbursing for a good amount though.

Hay guys! Check out the lists. Stop buying the "most stolen cars in America" unless you have need to talk to your insurance man. Cool cars come with a trade-off. I had my Vette stolen not only once, but twice. I was very lucky. Both times it was recovered after the joy-riders ran out of gas. I was extremely lucky. (and they didn't beat the sh*t out of it either)

I've had an Integra for 6 years, no theft. The key is to make it look VERY messy inside, like dust on the dash and lots of schoolbooks on the seats with very boring titles like "Statistics in Educational Research". No chance will they go for mine, since it looks like I don't take good care of my car.
