Nothing really. Hondas are reliable vehicles. It all depends how you drive. Just expect the normal that comes with any honda. Check and change your fluids regularly and don't beat on the engine. You should be OK. Your main concern will be to get a tune up when recommended. That will keep your car on point.

An Acura TL is an upscale Honda Accord, so you know it's reliable and has great resale value. Go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/home.cfm to find Consumer Complaints, Defect Investigations, Recalls, and Technical Service Bulletins for the TL

l dogg has got to be the dumbest person ever...."like acura is like not like a good car...like yeah" what a joke dont waste your hard earned money or time with a toyota corolla get the TLAs far as problems i dont think you will have many at all...afterall it is a Honda at heart...and if you have the chance get the Type S trim level...anyways the TL looks way better than any stupid little corolla and will be alot more fun to drive...especially the Type S...good luck getting you TL

The earlier TL models such as 99 don't tend to have the transmission problems that plague the 00-03 models. I have an 02 myself and the trasmission died after 46k miles. You may want to check out the acurazine forums @ http://tl.acurazine.com and you will be able to read about issues other people have.

i had a 96 model and it was great!!! i had 220,000 miles on it and everything was still working strong on it. my master cylinder went out but thats just wear and tear. make sure you change the timing belt every 90000 miles otherwise its catastrophic engine failure due to aluminum heads.
