1999 Acura CL 3.0 SRS control replacement cost and is it recomended??
I am the original owner of a 99 Acura CL 3.0. The alternator went bad and the SRS light came on. Had a diagnostic run with a body shop and it had an error reading code 5-1, which the shop guy told me mean bad control box. It will cost $350.00 to replace. My questions is does it need to be??? and had anyone of you experience a similar problem??? Thanks in advance for any repky.

the srs control unit needs a reference voltage from the battery if the voltage on the battery drops below a certain voltage the light will come on, if you fixed the alternator, and everything is working normal, reset the SRS light and it should turn off,
