Default Anyone have problems with the braking in a 2001 Acura TL ...?

I have a 2001 Acura TL and for a couple years now, not every time, but a lot, after I have stepped on the brake and the car is stopped, whether it be at a light, stop sign or drive-thru, the pedal drops ... I have had it checked and serviced ten times and they are trying to tell me it is normal ...

Yes it is normal. I have owned several cars that have done that.

Have you been losing brake fluid? If not, forget about it. If it makes you nervous, replace the master cylinder.

If you have the air conditioner running, the load it places on the engine can cause the pedal pressure to vary noticeably as the compressor kicks in and out.

no biggie - just wait until the steering wheel shakes when you break, which it will...i have a 2002 type S and have had to have the roters fixed 4x and replaced once. unless the break drops to the floor, it is no problem at all...

The pedal drops?? On my accord (very similar to the TL),during hot weather the brake pedal drops a lil bit when the radiator fan shuts off. Maybe this is what you are experiencing, and yes it is NORMAL. However... this could also mean there is air in the brake lines. The next time you go out driving, i suggest turning off the radio and listen carefully to the radiator fan to see when it shuts off and turns on and feel whats going on with the brake pedal.
