Default How much horsepower can I add...?

To a 2001 Acura C.L. 3.2 Type S automatic without spending too much money.

You can put headers, cold air intake, and a cat back exhaust system and you can add about 30 to 35 horses on the car. That would run you something like $1,500 depending on the quality of the exhaust system. But if you have an extra $5,000 to spare they have a supercharger that will add another 40 horses but you have an automatic so I don't think it's worth it.

There is a saying that goes like this. Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go? There are some things that can be done cheaply like air intake system. Hotter ignition system. Possibly exhaust system. And just maybe NOS system but on an older car with mil age this would be risky. When you get into the internals of the engine is when it really gets expensive. Start with the intake and ignition and go from there.

I added a $50.00 K&N airfilter to my CLS and noticed a slight improvement in performance. This never has to be replaced but can be cleaned and re-oiled...$20.00 kit. This is a start
