I'f I'm not mistaken Honda has it's own brand of transmission fluid, and by that I assume you mean ATF-Z1. They pretty damn adamant about using the stuff.

The fluid is pretty much like Dextron, but you much use HONDA brand fluid. Honda automatic transmissions are notorious for shifting hard if you use other brands.

ATF use hondas brand only.MT I always use Syncromesh. Works great.Honda-Tech.com

Fluid must be specifically for Honda use. Don't chance it go to Honda and buy the right fluid.Acura=Honda in this case
