I put a deposit down on one and am returning on Thursday to finish transaction. Any advice, suggestions or comments about that car? It is black on black with navigation.I looked at the Type S however it only adds 15hp and some plastic carbon looking dash trims. Not worth the extra $$ to me as long as I have navigation.

consumer reports shows bad transmission on them, besides that good cars.............maybe get an extended warranty (a reputable one)

supposedly luxury but bad transmission. I think they use cheap parts.

I have already gone through 1 bad transmission within 90k miles. Everyone I know that owns one has at least gone through 1 if not more transmission problems. It's a manufacture defect and Acura has extended the warranty to 100k. If the car you are buying has more than 100k miles, I would think twice before buying. Overall it's a great car, but be aware of the transmission problems.

I had a 2001 type S and had to have the transmission replaced. It was under warranty, but a hassle none the less. And the car didn't dirve the same after the replacement.
