there are no cheap k's out there. the b will be cheaper cheaper than the k but more than the d. the k is the best engine, the b will be your best value.

try to look on the web but focus your search towards japan. In japan when cars reach 40,000 miles by law a vechile is taken off the road. Which this has fueled a huge demand for Nissan 240sx motors seeing as drifting is now a huge sport and not many cars of today that are affordable are rear wheel drive. So I heard about this japan thing and think this is a good place to look. Although keep in mind that emissions may pose a problem. Good luck

As "ctr1108" stated, once a car has reaches a certain mielage, it is either taken off the road or a completely new engine is swapped in its place. We Americans like to call these engines "JDM" engines. Most of these are b-series. (I would hope to believe is true) If you are looking for more horsepower and more aftermarket capatable parts the "b18" is your best bet. The 'b18c' however will cost a little more than the 'b18b' due to it being a VTECH engine.
