The same way men learn, by watching other people work on cars or reading books about it. Although I don't know everything about cars, that's how I learned.

first of all this is a very sexist question, but to answer it properly every person that knows anything about a car has an intrest. depending on how intrested they are in the matter the more knowlege they will want to learn. so like men and women alike it comes down to the intrest.
