on my ford you have to turn on the key and off 10 times try it , while holding the open door button when the door unlocks you have it

Get in put the key in the ignition. turn it to the accessory position and hold the lock & unlock button down for 7 seconds the search signal is now inguaged the car will search for the new key fob press lock / unock back and forth repedidly door lock mechanism should sound now turn key back to off position try your new key fob .. no results .. repeat . Honda\Acura takes a couple of trys sometimes

no, we had a 97 RL.... by the way, the car was nothing but truble... and by going to like ACE, you can only open the doors and turn the accesories on.
