Default How can you tell if an acura rsx is a type s ?

How can you tell if an acura rsx is a type-s other that the emblem? Any additional information regarding this car is welcomed !

Not sure in usa but should be on the compliance plate usually located somewhere in the engine bay usually under the windscreen. Dont trust the badge most type r or ss badges are idiots with base models trying to make their cars seem better.

6 speed manual transmission.

The Type s has a v-tech engine, 6 speed transmission, leather, bose sound system, larger front brake roters.

The base model had a 5 speed non v-tech engine. You can tell just by looking under the hood

check the 8th digit of your vin under windshield if its a 8 its a bace RSX if its a 0 its a type s RSX.

It should have the "S" logo on the badge. RSX-S (I believe the S in red). The others are correct. I had a standard RSX 5 speed manual transmission with leather. Type S would be 6 speed, V-tech engine. Check the vin or under the hood.
