Default 2006 Acura rsx type S?

I'm currently a senior in high school and I have a part time job as a cna. I've been saving up money to buy my first car and I want a 2005 or 2006 acura rsx type s with low miles such as 80,000 and below. I almost have 3,000 saved uped, just wondering what would be a good price for this kind of car in really good condition of the street or a local dealer?if I end up doing payments, how much would my monthly payments be? The max I would be willing to spend is 10,000.

*no salvage titles

Feel free to add any specs you know on this car too.

That's a good question as to what your parent's monthly payment would be. You couldn't get a loan. Most all lenders won't give a vehicle loan for anything older than eight-years old. Some don't go passed five years.

You may get stuck either paying cash in full or that car is at a buy here-pay here dealer and they'll want 2x the car's worth if it is worth buying.

Only RSX-S you will find at the price range of 3k WITH less than 100k miles are wrecked ones. Lower your standards, get a "first" car to begin with, then buy that later.

Or you can do payments. Just spend 5 years of your life paying for a car you want at the moment. Just don't go changing your mind with 2 years in.

$3000 would be a down payment. I was going to give a snarky response and ask if your Google was broken, but curiosity got the best of me, so I looked up 05-06 RSX Type S' for sale with less than 100k miles. found 75 listings. The cheapest decent one with less than 80k miles was $10,450. There is one with 80k miles for $8500 for sale by owner...but it's been abused pretty bad, covered in modifications, and scratches everywhere, dents, dings, lots of signs it was street raced and probably won't make it to 100k miles.

As for monthly payments...Ask your parents, they will have to cosign at best, or completely assume the payments and you pay them. Expect about $250-300/mo.

So a good price for an 05-06 Type S with under 80k miles would be about $12k.

If you're gonna buy an eight year old car for 10 grand you better have at least 15 in you pocket. It's gonna break, and then your parents will have to pay for your dumbass mistake. Don't make such a mistake. Either buy a car with cheap parts and one that every shop can fix like a honda or Toyota or be an idiot and pain in the ass for your parents.
