Default can i fit a 2.4 i-vtec into a 2001 integra type r?

im new to the tuner world. And im really diggin the 2001 integra type r. I wanna buy a crap car and fix it up as a hobby. I wanna put a new engine in it with less miles and bigger in my book is better so i was thinking a 2,4L i-vtec. and if that is possible to fit in there what tranny would you suggest. I will be getting the tranny engine and clutch all proffesionally installed im more into the body work and fab work. Not much into the mechanic part.

Yes, you can fit it, but I would suggest finding a lesser Integra to do that to. Putting that engine in a rare Integra Type R (which isn't exactly a crap car) will reduce the value badly. It won't hurt an LS, RS or GS integra at all.
