Default Why do people buy Acura ?

I'm not hating on Acura, it's just that we don't have Acura in our country, so it makes me wonder what is the strong selling point of Acura ? What makes it different from, let's say, Mercedes or BMW or Lexus, Infiniti.

Or possibly because they love Honda so much that they want a Honda with higher quality ?

Acura cannot be compared to Mercedes, BMW, Lexus or Infinity. Sure, it's a good car, but, the others are miles above it as far as luxury. Mercedes for one, hand works all the interiors. Including the hand rubbed wood trim. Acura is just plastic. They are also all precision automobiles. Acura, not so much.

Acura is the luxury division of Honda. It's named that in the US and in Canada. Almost all the models are available in other countries badged as Honda. Understand that Lexus, Infiniti, are Toyotas and Nissans.

Why even buy a car at all? Everyone has got their own feet. People buy Acura's because they don't got rich mommy and daddy to buy their Mercedes and BMW for them and it's a Manufacturer they trust will last 200k miles without something breaking just right after warranty expires.

That my friend is a good question,It seems the people in our country like to have a special name on there cars, that means there car brand is special and high end i guess, ... they pay more for insurance and premium gas(i would never buy a car that required premium gas personally) ..the trade off is not worth it , for my money a Honda is the way to go unless you want an RL NSX or ZDX which Honda does not make ..just saying not hating ,i work for ACURA and it puzzles me also, lol . mercedes cars are built well and far more high end, that being said Reliability wise i have worked for Mercedes and they don't hold a candle to Acura or Honda in reliability, they just don't !there over engineered in my opinion , ,& parts are far to expensive ,at least i could not justify it ,, almost $1000 for dealer ft brake job is not for me.if you have too much money go for it! ill stick 2 driving my accord ,
