If only I could understand this. I recognize the words as English but beyond that, nothing. No sentences, no capitalization, no structure, no organization, nothing. No schooling at all?

Type S and Base model both use the same H5 automatic tranny. The question is: Has it been replaced? Not all of them have been replaced. I know a couple of people that never had their trannies replaced and theirs still drive okay. Those cases are few and far between but they do exist. I don't really know what a good deal means on that car. That transmission was really that bad. Your best bet is to call the Acura dealer with the VIN and ask them if the TSB has been completed on that car. The TSB was an extended warranty on those transmissions that has long past for the CL you're looking at. However, if it has been done, if it was replaced after March of 2005, you'll have the redesigned transmission and you should be fine. Resale value isn't good (due to the tranny woe and the fact the CLs didn't sell very well) so the price you plan to pay might not be the deal you think you're getting. If you don't want to have to worry about the tranny, go with the manual tranny model. Those are bulletproof.
