Default Hey Honda guys. I got a 1989 Integra with a 1.6. What other motor can I swap in with more power?

It has to fit up to the 5-speed manual tranny and basically bolt up to the existing mounts...with little modifications. I dont mind small ones.

The 89 Integra is emissions exempt. So the sky is the limit for what I can do to it. Of course within financial limits

Swap the Integra with a new Integra. You can get an early 2000s GS-R for far less money than any engine swap if you value your time and a place to do the engine swap.

If you are looking for more power from an engine swap and still using your old transmission, then don't bother. Might as well bolt on a turbo kit, would be a lot cheaper.
