Default is the 2007 acura tl type s a good first car?

i am sixteen and saving up for a car. i have done some research and found the Acura has tons of safety features, is fwd, and is a 4 door sedan which should knock down the price for insurance. it is good on gas mileage and they run very well even with a lot of miles on it. i would like it to be a manual which is why i have to get the type s but i was wondering if the fact that it is a type s will skyrocket the insurance cost even with the safety features and other stuff i listed earlier? what do you pay for insurance on a car like this? is this a good choice for a first car? why or why not? what is your experience or knowledge abut this car and situation? just trying to get a better feel for what i might run into and see what others have to say

An Acura TL- S would be a great first car. Very reliable, affordable cost maintenance and a lot of fun! I've had a couple manual Acura sporty cars. Insurance will probably be more than your average sedan since it's a "sports" sedan and because you are a young, new driver. Check with a few insurance companies or if you're on your parents insurance and get some quotes. So yes, great first car but most likely higher insurance rate.

the tl has more horsepower than the tsx so higher insurance rates especially on a first time driver. I suggest you check out the tsx with 6MT. I own a 06, since new. It has 164k+problem free miles.

Very poor choice. Get a beater like a Honda Civic and really learn how to drive.
