Sounds like your radiator thermostat isn't opening like it should. The main reason i say that is because you turned on the heater but it was only blowing out cold air. That indicates that your radiator thermostat isn't opening allowing your engine to use the entire water cooling system, which in turn also heats the air when you turn on your heater in the winter.

Thermostats are very inexpensive can be changed in a matter of minutes usually.

Could be the thermostat, your heater core could be blocked, your head might have warped from previous damage.

I will tell you low on coolant is the most common cause for those symptoms ,find the leak if so and repair . (ck rad top tank) also make sure there is coolant in the coolant recovery bottle! next make sure cooling fans are coming on at idle after warmed up(although that does not explain no heat ) ,if so next replace thermostat ..Make Sure you use a real Honda thermostat from a dealer! most aftermarket ones are junk , I have had them fall apart inside all kinds of problems like that ,factory ones tend to never go bad.

If they replaced the head gasket, how can your car be overheating due to a leak? Most likely they did not put back everything correctly. This is not a thermostat issue! Take the car back to the shop that replaced the head gasket and have them inspect the car. Since it was done a month ago must likely is under warranty. Good Luck
