Default Acura RSX Type S with high mileage or Hyundai Tiburon with low Mileage?

I own a really nice, black, mint condition 2006 Tib, only 77,800k miles. Was actually thinking of getting an Acura RSX Type S for 9'000$ with 143,000 miles on it. Pretty lame idea? Even though the Acura is known for getting anywhere from 250 to 400,000 miles. I think the Tib would get at least 200,000, since I maintain it very well. Last longer. Any answers??

I don't WANT the Tib Eddie i own it ;p) Had it for a year maintenance free.

Stick with your mint condition low mileage Tib. Properly maintained your Tib can get every bit the mileage life of any Acura.

I will stay with the Hyundai Tiburon! My fiance owns a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon, and the car currently has 177,XXX miles trouble free (she takes care of the engine).

Remember, if you replace the timing belt every 60,000 miles, change your oil every 3,000 miles, flush the transmission every 50,000 miles, flush the power steering system every 50,000 miles, replace the spark plugs every 60,000 miles, and do the other tune-ups on time, you will have a car for a very long time.

I know the Acura is a good car, but spending $9k on a car with 143,000 mile is to much, and to risky. Your Hyundai car will serve you well, and for much less! Good Luck!

That's a high price for an RSX with 143,000. Last year I sold my RSX with 139,000 miles and the book value in excellent condition was not close to that price. It was not the type S though. But leather, MT and all the perks.

Though I'm bias to Acura and they are extremely reliable, I don't think it's a good idea to get rid of a mint condition car with low miles. Hyundai is Japanese made too; Highly reliable ... Treat it good and you'll drive a long time together.
