Default What does everyone think of the 2004 Acura RSX?

This is what I got for my first car, it's the base model with leather and a 5-speed manual. I love it, but I was curious to see what others think.

I have the same car and it's great. Even though it's almost 10 years old, I haven't found a new car to replace it.

I have an 06 RSX 5 speed with all the technology features it's 7 years old now and its a fantastic car in better than new condition, its quick and handles amazingly for a FWD car. In these 7 years its never had a mechanical problem. The only complains I could see someone having about it is its extremely stiff and bumps can be... painful but the way I look at it is f comfort those hard bumps are from your ultra stiff suspension that gives you the awesome handling.

The one thing I'd say is the stock tires from the dealer are mediocore tires, Michelin Pilots MXM4 if memory serves, I'd recommend a set Michelin Pilot A/S Sport Plus' if you have the money to spend, you'll find a significant handling increase and better traction in the rain, only place they're no good is the snow (but how often do you drive an rsx in snow)

the 5 speed has a lower reving motor (k20A3) than the type s (k20A2 for 2002-2004, k24Z1 2005-2006) so it will have more power than a type s until 5500 RPMS so it will do 0-60 in roughly the same time as a type S, the type S really only becomes faster when you hit 3rd gear, 2nd will take you to 67 mph in the base, and only idiots race much faster than that. (remember this if ever you feel you should have bought a type S lol)
