Default 1995 integra ls.. what are your thoughts on a Less expensive and more reliable ways to make my

engine faster? I'm new to the engine mods and performance scene. I just got a good deal on a 95 all stock LS Integra it has a newer clutch in it. (I wish it was the GSR) this will be my DD I'm looking for more affordable ways to add performance and still have reliabilty. I might be able to get a good deal on a turbo from a rich guy that has a few laying around.. could I add a turbo to my stock LS without needing new gaskets or internals? Maybe at a lower psi and gaining 80-120hp..It would be nice to avoid pulling engine if even possible.. Or do I go the all engine way with the LSV/different head and a p28?

Please do not post and tell me that there are thousands of posts with this same question! Every post that I do find has some retard saying that and it is hard for me to weed out and find a good source of info. I also know people that are expert mechanics but i dont want to approach them with dumb questions so thats why im asking here.

Any real in depth info from you will be greatly appreciated or post a link that goes over details on different ways to soup up this type of car/engine. Thanks

Yeah i read back and realized 120hp would mean having to spend a lot and doing a total rebuild..

I will probably just go with what you said (intake, exhaust) and wait for a better car and just use this as a DD... Sucks I don't have the vtec!

Thanks Jacob

You're not going to be able to get an extra 100hp without having to do a lot of work on the engine trying to strengthen it. Start out small and just get the usual mods like a nice exhaust system that'll get you 10-30 hp boost, a new air intake, that's another 5-20 hp. Putting a fat turbo just puts to much strain on the engine, even running at a lower psi. Hope I helped.

Your gonna need to do a lot of internal work for that engine to run normal with a turbo. I say get a intake, catback exhaust system, and maybe a tune. But if you can scrape up $3,000-4,000 I think you could get a nice engine swap. B18 swap is the most common on integras. Maybe even a newer K engine if you could find one for cheap. From there you would have much more potential. VTEC, higher redline. Larger aftermarket support for those engines.

There is a honda fourm, can't remember which, that I found a lot of swap info on. A few months ago I was looking at buying a 94-97 accord and doing a H22 swap, never found a rust free clean manual trans accord at all(try finding a rust free car here in NY state, not easy lol). As far as I remember I was searching B18 swap civic and H22 swap accord. I did find this one post where the guy pointed out the whole process and what upgraded parts you needed. I wish I still had it. But do a search on google about B18 swap civic, I'm sure youd find some good info.

Check honda-tech.com or civicforums.com I just typed in Honda Civic B18 swap into google and found acouple of post on those websites. Remember, the early integras were civics under new sheet metal. So don't be fooled when It says civic instead of integra lol
