I drove a 1990 Integra GS for 6 years and the engine was great. Those B series engine can take A LOT of abuse. I got the car with 150,000 miles on the odometer and sold it when it had around 303,000. I never had to replace any major engine parts (just usual stuff like the starter, alternator, axles and the like). I did spark plug changes, valve adjustments, and timing belt/water pump changes when they were due. As long as it was well maintained, that engine is awesome.
