it depends if it is engine trouble or just little things like motor mount bushings or suspension. if you can repair it yourself then no its not going to cost you much to hit the auto parts store get what you need and do some research and fix it yourself but if your not mechanicly inclined and need a shop to do it. you may want to bust out some bucks because they charge upwards of 80$ an hour and they take their sweet time. before you purchase it take to a car shop they usualy do free inspections and can tell you whet is currently wrong with the car and give you a rough estimate of parts cost. and you can find them a little cheaper if you do some shopping.

Acura's are no more expensive than other cars...if you break something fix it...if you can't afford to fix a car, don't own one.

Acura/Honda dealers charge $45 an hr labor(of course the tech's don't get all that), parts are expensive cause you don't want cheap aftermarket parts on a 'nice' car anyway ( aftermarket parts don't always work for Acura's/Honda's.)

Insurance will run you, Acura's are considered 'sports' cars...

If you can afford a certain car, buy it, if you can't, don't. Cars are only as good as the person who drives and maintains them...
