Default wuts better a b18b1 or a b18c1 motor?

the b18b1 is a boosted coupe stock internals but the b18c1 is modded internals in a crx no turbo

Slightly better torque with B18B1 due to slightly larger displacement and the engine is long stroke. B18C1 takes a lot more to go but it does have higher horsepower and it's a short stroke engine- menaing it's meant to rev. Get over 5500 RPMs and you'll feel the VTEC kick in. Personally, I'd get the B18C1. I love B18Bs, but with 6-7psi, I doubt you can compare it to a B18C1. Turbo means slightly more maintenance. I'm personally sketchy about running boost on stock internals on any Honda engine. They are great cars in their own right but overall core engine design emphasis is on economy with power coming in second. They are all aluminum, compact design engines... which is why they tend to be weak on torque. Then again, it's a CRX. either would be an awesome candidate but I'm still giving it to the GSR engine. CRX is light enough that both engines in stock form have the torque to propel this car with vigor. You said modded B18C1 and I told you how great the stock one was. Tells you which one I'd go with.
