Default Acura Integra RPM Problem?

I have a 97 Acura Integra and I have a little problem. When I turn on my car the needle on the RPM just goes crazy, it doesn't stay in place even when the car is stop. I don't know if its the spark plug or if its something electrical. Any help?

Probably a problem with the gauge itself as Chrys mentioned or a printed circuit behind the gauge .. Alot of times when you attempt to replace things like that on an older car you open up a can of worms and when you finish something else or a few other things don't work,, I have unfortunately been in that situation with an Acura RL and have learned my lesson.. Perhaps you could live without the tachometer? If not maybe find a place you can send it out to for repair..Good luck!
