I was wondering if I could buy a back up camera for my 06 Tl and just plug it into my stock navigation system if it would work?

The navi screen doesn't have provisions for a back up camera.

By the time you did what it would take to actually make it work with your stock navi unit, you could have invested in a much nicer (and more functional) aftermarket system (with navigation) that would also include a back up camera.
