Default Which is a better SUV, the 2011 Acura MDX or the 2011 Infiniti Q56?

I prefer infiniti over acura, but for these choices, I think the MDX looks better. It's also less expensive.

Even though the Acura is considerably cheaper then the Infiniti, In my opinion I dont think you can compare the prestige factor of an Infiniti or a Lexus with an Acura. Although Acura builds reliable vehicles they dont seem to come to par with the class leaders in the luxury segment which include, Lexus, Infiniti, Audi, BMW & Mercedes Benz. The Acura is more so a substitute to the luxury market opposed to being a direct alternative. However admittedly the Acura MDX seems to be a lot easier on the eyes compared to the behemoth size of the Infiniti QX56, not to mention the MDX will with out a doubt receive a better MPG rating then those in the Full size Luxury Sports Utility segment which include the Lexus LX, Infiniti QX, Range Rover, Mercedes GL & Cadillac Escalade. Also keep in mind that in terms of pricing the Acura will be the more affordable option as the MDX prices at $43,000 while the Infiniti QX56 starts at $60,000. The Infiniti is essentially the Japanese BMW hence the reason why it is considered to be the main alternative to German luxury & performance the similar way Lexus is more so the Japanese Mercedes. If money wasn't an issue the Infiniti QX56 would clearly be the better vehicle. It is much larger, more luxurious, innovative and a technological high end SUV not to mention it composes a powerful and potent class leading 400 HP engine. This Infiniti QX56 really is the Maybach of all Luxury SUV's, the interior & technology is unparalleled to anything else out on the market. The Exterior could use a bit of revising. Its not atrocious but certainly? for a car in this class it should be a bit more likable in terms of styling rather then neglected, but thats always subjective. However I love that its different from other traditional SUVs. In short the Infiniti QX56 is a lot like a lobster; it?s expensive, ugly on the outside and delicious on the inside. But if your looking for affordability then the Acura would suffice. Anyway you look at it the Infiniti will be superior to the Acura but when the cons come into play its all about pricing and affordability which include mostly MSRP and MPG. Both great cars, but you asked and I answered. Hope this helps. =)
