www.autozone.com has a fair amount of info on codes and offers some
troubleshooting advice.
Go to the link above. Click on "Free Repair Guides" on the right. Put in your
car's info. Keep clicking on "free repair guide" type links until you come to
the choice "Driveability and Emissions Controls." Click on "Trouble Codes."
Like John said, Code 3 is the MAP ( = Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor.
In the Usenet archives I have seen a fair amount of reports of having to replace
this sensor. You might want to google at
www.groups.google.com to compare your
car's problems with others' with the MAP sensor code.
